April Renee Lynch, Magic’s new Peer Support Specialist, was certified after her internship at the Wellness and Advocacy Center, Santa Rosa. Her experience includes training in peer support for older adults at the Council on Aging and work as a Job Coach for Buckelew Programs.
April received her Master’s Degree from the University of California, Irvine as a UC President’s Office Fellow. She was awarded a doctorate (PhD) at age fifty-eight from the Graduate Theological Union/UC Berkeley. Years of international study and travel strengthened April’s desire to speak thoughtfully and listen with clear understanding. Thirty-one years of dealing with her own mental health challenges have brought her close to the peer community.
In her free time, April loves to read, write, and watch television. She exercises daily and is an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in her home, Rohnert Park.
